This looks like amanita octeata or amanita smithiana, both deadly poisonous but both known to North America. RSC’s suggestion sounds plausible, although the warts are missing.

Yes looking like Amanita of some type. No warts so not strobiliformis

We need to know, the ring zone…is it similar to yogurth, greasy? On the top are only one part of the velum, maby is washed away…
